IT Technician (Twinsburg, OH)

Job Overview

The IT Technician’s responsibilities include technical support, system maintenance, hardware/software management, problem resolution, and performing other IT duties as assigned.

 

Salary

  • Ranging from $45,000.00 to $65,000.00 yearly based on experience.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Identify and procure the hardware and software needed to satisfy user requirements.
  • Install hardware and peripheral components such as monitors, keyboards, and printers.
  • Load appropriate software packages, operating systems, networking components, and office applications.
  • Assist in the programming, customization, and adaptation of existing programs to meet user requirements.
  • Provide user support via telephone, email, or in-person.
  • Provide regular status updates and target completion dates to management.
  • Refer major hardware issues to service personnel for correction, if required.
  • Maintain software licenses for each user.
  • Ensure network and server backup and recovery procedures are performed on a regular basis.
  • Complete other assignments, as requested by management.
  • Afterhours support as required

Education, Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related area or minimum two (2) years related experience and/or demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the above-mentioned duties and responsibilities.
  • Excellent technical, problem-solving, and analytical skills and abilities.
  • Ability to work proactively and independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as ability to resolve issues and follow through
  • ERP knowledge is a plus
  • Basic Coding knowledge is a plus
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge is a plus
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred but not required
